Salamanders History-Primarch

When the infant Primarch, Vulkan landed on a volcanic world named Nocturne, he was found by a man named N'bel ,who, when saw the child, recognized the child as one of the children prophesied to be a savior. Like all Primarchs he grew quickly, reaching in only three Terran years, full adult size, not only  in physical, but in brain size as well. By that time he had already became an acceptable metalsmith. By the time he was four years of age the city on Nocturne that he lived in had come under siege by the Dark Eldar, who were on a slave taking expedition. The people of his hometown hid, as they usually did when the aliens came raiding, but Vulkan refused to hide. Armed with only two blacksmith hammers, he got the the rest of the village from hiding and drove the aliens assault, single handedly killed hundreds of dark Eldar. Once the word spread about the battle, seven of the best headsmen came to pay homage to Vulkan, and to swear to forever more fight the raiders and not hide. After the paying homage to Vulkan the people of Nocturne had a big celebration with test of strength
and craftsmanship.

During the opening ceremonies a stranger appeared and said he could take on any man they had on one condition, if the stranger beat the man he was against the man would have to swear loyalty to him. The people of Nocturne brought the stranger to the superhuman Vulkan. The stranger asked to challenge Vulkan and told him the conditions, Vulkan accepted. For eight days, Vulkan and the stranger, matched Vulkan in several events, with neither able to beat each other by more than a slight difference, like an anvil lifting contest when they stood holding up their anvils for more than a day, without either of them looking like they could stand their for eternity. The last contest was Salamander slaying. Both men had a day and a half to forge a weapon and slay the biggest salamander they can find. Vulkan and the stranger worked all day with no rest. When the day was at a close both the stranger and Vulkan came out, Vulkan with a huge hammer and the stranger with a gleaming gold keen-edged sword. Then they both climbed to the summit of mount death fire, a massive volcano witch the biggest salamanders on the planet lived. Vulkan found his pray first slaying it with a hammer
blow to the head. As he carried the carcass back the volcano erupted and he was almost throne off the cliff but managed to grab on to the cliff with one hand and grasping onto the tail of his prize with his other. After several hours his grip started to loosen, and that was when the stranger showed up and helped Vulkan up. When Vulkan and the stranger showed up at the village Vulkan was declared winner because he still had his salamander. The crowd started cheering but were quickly silenced by Vulkan. Then Vulkan knelt before the stranger and pledged loyalty to the man that rather save another than get personal glory. After that the stranger revealed his identity as the emperor of mankind, and he declared that nocturne would be the the home world of his space marine chapters, and the chapter would be named the Salamanders.  He also said that Vulkan would be the Primarch of this legion, and ruler of this world.
